As European Legislation & Regulatory Affairs Manager, you are the central expert on EU legislation and regulatory frameworks within Plukon Food Group. In this pivotal role, you continuously monitor legislative developments, interpret their impact, and translate complex legal requirements into clear operational guidance. You advise internal stakeholders, support implementation across our European business units, and contribute to the strategic alignment of Plukon with evolving EU policies.
As the European Legislation & Regulatory Affairs Manager, you act as the key link between EU regulations and operational execution within Plukon. You ensure that legal changes are understood, translated, and implemented across all relevant business units. Your duties will include:
Analyze and interpret EU legislation (e.g. Farm to Fork Strategy, Green Deal, Packaging & Labelling, Food Waste, Animal Welfare, Antibiotic Use).
Translate EU-level requirements into practical implementation steps across all business units.
Work closely with site QA teams and country QA leads to roll out updates and ensure compliance.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide summaries to internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain a knowledge base of relevant laws and their impact per country/region.
Support group-level QA initiatives in close collaboration with the QA Director.
Check the compliance of specifications and documents from international suppliers.
Keep the internal documentation addressed to our suppliers up to date.

Job requirements:
Master’s degree in Food Law, Food Quality, EU Public Affairs or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a multinational quality or compliance role, preferably in the food sector.
Familiarity with GFSI standards (e.g. BRC, IFS) is a plus.
Competencies:
Strong ability to interpret legal and regulatory texts.
Analytical and pragmatic: able to turn policy into action.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Comfortable working in cross-functional and international teams.
Experience with document control systems or legal databases is an advantage.
Knowledge of an additional European language is a strong plus.
